Board Meeting
The May 2021 Board of Directors Meeting will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 in the Community Room and via Zoom beginning at 6:30pm.
Annual Meeting Results
Congratulations to Joseph Esquiaqui, Daniel Pfeffer and Michael Wheeler on being elected at our Annual Meeting to the Board of Directors for two-year terms.
Recognizing Retiring Director
The Alicante Board and Management would like to thank Phillip Baker for his years of contribution to the Alicante community. Phillip’s dedication and time has helped shaped the culture of Alicante and has not only made the building a very desirable place for many to call home, but an enjoyable place for staff to come to work.

Memorial Day Holiday
Action Property Management, Professional Maintenance Systems (Janitorial), and ABM Engineering will be closed on Monday, May 29, 2023 in observance of Memorial Day. If there is an afterhours maintenance emergency, such as a flood, please contact Action Property Management at 949-450-0202, afterhours personnel will assist you. Have a safe and wonderful holiday!
Lost Items
Items that are found by the Building Engineer and Janitorial Staff in the garage, lobby, and amenity rooms are turned in to Management. If you believe you have misplaced an item, please contact Management at mplascencia@actionlife.com to check and see if it has been turned in.
In addition, if your fob or remote is misplaced or stolen, be sure to contact Management or Building Engineer, Patrick Freeman right away to have them deactivated. Fobs and remotes can be re-activated if found.
Electronic Waste & Clothing Event
This event is scheduled for May 25, 2023. Residents must sign up on my.pinwaste.com for the event and place their items in the trash room in P1. Please see the event flyer in the mail room that explains how to sign up for the event.
Unapproved Storage
Please note that any items placed outside of your storage cage or stored in your parking space(s) are subject to removal by Management.
Architectural Applications
If you are thinking about making a change in your unit that would require architectural committee review and approval, please plan well in advance. Per the Architectural Guidelines, the Committee is allotted 30-45 days for review. It is also recommended to wait before setting a schedule with your contractor until an approval has been awarded.

If you are looking for a way to be more involved with the Community, consider joining one of the following Committees:
- Common Area Enhancement Committee
- EV Committee
- Owner Maintenance Committee
- Security Committee
- Social Committee
- Financial Review Committee (expertise in accounting recommended)

Window Cleaning
Window cleaning has been scheduled to begin Monday, April 24th. A full window cleaning schedule will be provided closer to the start date.
Electronic Waste & Clothing Event

Elevator Feedback – We Want to Hear from You
In order to get a better understanding of how the elevators operate at all hours, we would like to hear from the Residents and be notified if you experience an issue when using the elevator over the next thirty (30) days.
If you experience an issue when using the elevators, email Management mplascencia@actionlife.com and Building Engineer, Patrick Freeman pfreeman@abm.com. Please be sure to include the following in your email:
- Date
- Time
- Elevator (North or South)
- A description of the issue
Balcony Cleaning
While cleaning your balconies, please clean them in a manner that will not allow water to spill onto the balconies below.

March 2023 Newsletter
Board Meeting
The March Board of Directors Meeting will be held on March 23, 2023 in the Community Room beginning at 6:30pm in the Community Room and via Zoom.
Annual Fire Alarm & Sprinkler Testing
The annual fire alarm and sprinkler testing conducted by HCI will take place on Tuesday, March 28th from 8am to 5pm. During that time the alarms will go off periodically throughout the day. Management to provide a schedule as the date approaches as in unit inspections will be required.
Wi-Fi Passwords Updated
The Wi-Fi passwords to the Lobby, Community Room, Fitness Room, and P1 Garage level have all been changed to the same password: redwood475 (case sensitive).
Auto Lobby Door Opener
The auto lobby door opener has been installed along with the hand wave sensor in the lobby to automatically open the door. When entering the building, please do not pull on the door handle at the same time as scan your fob or use ButterflyMX to open the door as we found that it will cause the door to not open.
Storage
Please note that any items placed outside of your storage cage or stored in your parking space(s) are subject to removal by Management.
Window Cleaning
Window cleaning has been scheduled to begin Monday, April 24th. A full schedule will be provided in April.
Community Room Book Exchange
The books in the Community Room have been relocated to the cabinets located under the counter. Pull out shelves have been installed to make it easier to look through the selection of books.
Moves/Deliveries
All moves and deliveries must be scheduled with Management at least a week in advance. A general rule of thumb is if it takes more than one person to move it, then a move must be scheduled. The reason is simply to protect the building from sustaining damage during a move. Please be advised that if you are found to have had an unscheduled move, you will be subject to hearing and fine. If you are unsure of the scope of your move or would like to schedule a move, please contact the General Manager.

Board Meeting
The January Board of Directors Meeting will be held on January 26, 2023 in the Community Room beginning at 6:30pm in the Community Room and via Zoom.
Holiday Tree Pick up
Global Disposal will be picking up Christmas trees on Thursday, January 5, 2023.
If you would like to dispose of your tree, please bring it down to the P1Garage Level by the Amazon Hub Locker. They are located to the left of the ramp (if you are facing it, as if you are leaving the garage).
To ensure pickup, please place your tree in the designated location no later than 6:00am the morning of the 5th. Please be sure to clean up any needles your tree leaves behind.
Trash Chute Cleaning
ProTec will be cleaning the trash chutes on Tuesday, January 17th from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Please note that during this time the trash chute will not be accessible on your floor. The trash room located on P1 next to the recycling bins will remain open.
Holiday Decorations
As a reminder, all holiday decorations should be removed from doors and balconies by Tuesday, January 10th.
Community Room Remodel Completed
The remodeled community room is now complete and ready for business! It is open for you to use anytime by using your fob unless the room has a posted notice that the room has been reserved. New features of the Community Room include workstations with convenient USB and electrical outlets for charging, a conference table with new comfortable seating and improved lighting. Free wi-fi is available, the network is called Alicante and the password is 475alicante. To reserve the room for a private meeting or function, contact Management at mplascencia@actionlife.com.

Rental Leases
Per the Association’s Rules and Regulations, if you are renting your unit, you are required to send Management a copy of your lease. This information is necessary for many reasons, mainly for emergency purposes. In the event of an evacuation, the authorities require us to have an updated list of who is in the building. By not providing your lease and tenant’s information, we will not know who to look for if there was an evacuation situation. This information is kept confidential. Please remember to submit this information every time you have a new tenant! You can submit to mplascencia@actionlife.com or wmohammad@actionlife.com.

Management and Engineer Holiday Schedule
In observance of upcoming holidays, Action Property Management will be closed Friday, December 23, 2022 – Monday, December 26, 2022. ABLE Engineering will also be closed Monday, December 26, 2022. For all emergencies, please remember to call 800-400-2284.
Holiday Tree Pick up
