Resident Conduct

Pursuant to Rules and Regulations, section Resident and Guest Conduct, page 13, #1: Loud or unruly conduct anywhere on the Alicante property, including your residence, which disturbs the comfort and quiet enjoyment of others, is prohibited. In addition, after 9:00 PM volume must be significantly reduced in order to not disturb other residents. For a full list of the Association’s rules regarding noise levels, please refer to the Association Rules and Regulations section Resident and Guest Conduct, page 13, #1-8.

Breaking Down Boxes

When discarding boxes in the recycling bins, please be sure to break down the boxes first as they take up a lot of room and can lead to overage charges.

Architectural Applications

If you are thinking about making a change in your unit that would require architectural committee review and approval, please plan well in advance. News From the Neighborhood

Paid parking in Balboa Park is scheduled to begin Jan. 5, 2026. The new parking plan recently approved by the City Council ensures that verified City of San Diego residents can receive discounted parking, and preserves some free parking options, including for park employees and volunteers. Parking revenues will be used within Balboa Park for improvements and maintenance. There will be monthly, quarterly and annual parking pass options for both verified residents of the City of San Diego and for non-residents, who will pay a higher rate. For those not purchasing passes, parking will be available at parking meter kiosks on Balboa Park roads for $2.50 an hour, and in the lots for daily fees ranging from $5 to $16.

Parking meters

Meters will be installed on roads within the park including Balboa Drive, El Prado, Juniper Road, Presidents Way, Quince Drive, Zoo Drive and Village Place. There will also be meters on some adjacent roads including Sixth Avenue, from Elm to Upas streets, and Park Boulevard, from Village Place to Presidents Way. Meter rates will be $2.50 per hour, up to $10 a day and will be enforced between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily. Meters outside the park on Sixth Avenue and Park Boulevard will also be $2.50 an hour, with a four-hour maximum. Meters take credit cards, Apple Pay/ Google Pay or coins.
